About our Labradors

Welcome to Fatcity Labradors, a small kennel located in Viola, Kansas.

There is nothing better than watching a good lab quiver as it spots ducks in the sky or seeing its' tail about to twist off as it gets a snout full of scent from a rooster!  As a youth, I grew up in Kansas hunting waterfowl and upland game.  Our family has owned Labrador Retrievers as long as I can remember and we enjoy watching the excitement of the dogs as they work.

 We are currently running APLA tests, and AKC Field Trials.  My goal as a breeder is to create a puppy that is capable of passing both tests and trials.  We strive to produce top quality Labradors from AKC Field Trial bloodlines, that point.  These results have been amazing:  great retrievers that point and retrieve with style and desire.

All of our dogs are health tested by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for hips, elbows and eyes.  We also have Paw Prints Genetics panel on each dog to test for, Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Degenerative Myopathy, Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC), Hereditary Nasal Parakertosis (HPK), Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Retinal Dysplasia, and Skeletal Dysplasia 2.
